CompuPlay
CompuPlay offers new and exciting computer experiences for children and young adults. The Lekotek staff is adept in computer technology, realizing its benefits in early intervention and special education. Following a computer evaluation and assessment of appropriate adapted input devices, individuals of all ages are provided with opportunities to use assistive technology, modified input devices and software designed to meet the needs of children with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities. Appropriate software and adapted computer equipment provide opportunities for kids and young adults to develop fine motor, language, literacy, and recreation skills. And all are available for loan through Lekotek’s lending library.
Children aged 2 years and older can participate in CompuPlay.
There are three CompuPlay sessions each year. Each five week session includes parent training, and direct instruction. Registration is on a first-come first-served basis.
The dates for 2012 CompuPlay sessions are:
• Week of January 23 through week of February 20

Cost is $100 per 5-week session. Limited scholarships are available.
